Produces violet-rose flowers in July through October which look terrific in woody areas or full woodlands, wet meadows, along streams and in thickets. Requires constant moist soil. Varieties grow from 2-5 feet tall. The flowers have a vanilla scent and they are like magnets for butterflies!
