Get yourself a Yew Hickis (or Hicki Yew) for it has a very neat, columnar upright growth habit. The shrub does top off around 20 ft when mature. The dark green color holds all year long whether it is in sun or shade (full sun only in non-scorching climates). Use it freely and abundantly to create screens or natural borders. Try it out as a single or group planting, maybe near a building so it has a background. Makes a good landscape tree Its dark colors add dramatic impact when used as a landscape tree in shady areas.
