You will find beautiful raspberry, red or pink flowers on this astilbe, a perennial which grows well in moist soils. Flowering takes place in July and August and reaches 16 inches tall upon maturity. Works well as a cut flower although the seed heads are distinctly ornamental when left to dry at season's end. Astilbe are right at home in your shade areas and the bronze to green leaves of this version are compacted and flattering to the flowers and other woodland plants.
