Also known as Foamflowers, for reasons too obvious to mention, tiarella produces white or pink flowers in April and May. The leaves are a bit "hairy" and practically heart-shaped. Grows to 8-12 inches at maturity. They are great in woodland areas with shade or filtered sunlight. Consider them for gardens with ferns and hosta for they complement those plants beautifully.
