From mid-summer to early fall, Tonto, a low-spreading crape myrtle produces an endless and spectacular bloom of crinkly, crepe-papery, white flowers. Reddish-purple fall foliage color is an additional bonus. It's a good standalone shrub in a protected location but also is a friendly addition to a group.
